Green Seedlings at 110% Green Networking Event

Here is an interesting end life for our cups. The recent Western Cape 110% Green Networking Event took the form of a high tea held outdoors at Leeuwenhof Estate in Cape Town. These events are held regularly for individuals in the local green economy to meet, network and share ideas. This time Misha Teasdale from GreenPop spoke about integrity in the green economy.

GREEN HOME’s compostable coffee cups were used to plant seedlings. Everyone who attended the event took home a seedling in a compostable cup.

When the seedling is big enough, the cup and the seedling can both be planted directly in the ground. The cup is made entirely from plants so it will biodegrade into compost. A perfect no waste solution. The result: no cup waste and no plastic seed container waste generated by the event.
