MTN Bushfire is greening its fire and going compostable
Described by CNN as one of the ‘7 African music festivals you really have to see’, MTN Bushfire is an iconic celebration of creative expression. It attracts talent and attendees from across Africa and around the world.
Together with supporting and celebrating the arts, MTN Bushfire is also a platform that promotes social responsibility and environmental stewardship. And this year, as part of its Green Your Fire mandate, the festival is going compostable with GREEN HOME!
We’re extremely excited to be partnering with MTN Bushfire 2023. All the food enjoyed in the food village at this epic festival will be served up GREEN in our 100% plant-based and compostable food packaging.
Afterwards, all the used packaging will be composted, creating soil instead of waste. We’ll return nutrients and biomass to the earth, rather than sending more waste to overfull landfills.

Heart & Fire
MTN Bushfire takes place in beautiful Eswatini. This is a place close to our hearts – the home ground of GREEN HOME’s founder and MD, Catherine Morris. It’s the land that grew her, where she was born and raised.

Bring Your Fire: Cultivating Creativity & Community
MTN Bushfire invites everyone to bring your fire. The festival is about coming together, building community, expressing the best of ourselves and sharing our passion.
This family friendly festival is renowned for its eclectic and multi-dimensional programming rooted in world music. Alongside the extensive musical line-up, theatre, poetry, dance, art and installations, story-telling, film, puppetry and workshops all add to the magic.
There is also a vibrant handcraft market, family oriented shows and a dedicated program in the KidZone.
And, of course, there will be lots of delicious FOOD!
It’s a feast for body and soul. And we’re so excited to be a part of it. And, to bring the GREEN HOME fire: compostable solutions for closing the loop on waste for thriving people and a healthy planet.
