Mashed potato to the rescue?


It looks like potatoes are good for more than just chips! Scientists at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC)have been hard at work researching potato starch with the aim of developing potato polysaccharide-based bioplastic film and foam (based on complex carbohydrates found in plants), and to improve the performance of potato-based bioplastic.
