GreenHome Sponsors The Sunflower Fund Golf Day

GreenHome sponsored gift bags to The Sunflower Fund Golf Day. The Golf Day is one of the events they hold in order to raise funds for this important NGO.

The Sunflower Fund “educates, recruits and raises funds to build and sustain an effective SABMR (South African Bone Marrow Registry) as a source of well informed ethnically-diverse potential bone marrow donors so as to meet the national and international requirements and improve the chances of life-saving transplants for serious blood disorder sufferers.” Their important work has increased the number of potential donors from 1200 in 1999 to 65000 currently.

The Golf Day event is really well supported and helps the Sunflower fund raise much needed funds for the work they do, sourcing and documenting suitable bone marrow doners.

Each golfer who attended the day received a goodie bag which was one of our gift bags made from recycled paper and 100 % biodegradable and compostable.
