The biodegradable secret garden
Last weekend, I was at The Secret Garden party in the U.K. and it was so inspiring to see the emphasis on making it a green event. There were compost toilets, solar-powered stages, vegetarian and organic stalls and, best of all, ALL the food stalls at the festival were using biodegradable take-away containers. The move towards biodegradable alternatives to plastic in Europe is big, with a capital ‘B’!

yeah, the UK is big on these eco-friendly events, which is so awesome to see. at glastonbury this year, they had a solar-powered phone charging tent, haha!
now if only all festivals would implement green initiatives like these… but the tide is turning, i think – and more festivals are seeing the proverbial light. 🙂
